EPIC In Person Peer Parent Support
EPIC In Person Peer Support is an initiative of the EPIC Wellbeing Project, providing in person peer support to parents/carers of young people aged 12-24. Focusing on carer wellbeing, the EPIC Wellbeing Project will connect parents/carers with lived-experience peers to provide knowledge, strategies and hindsight relating to young people experiencing mental health challenges and/or choosing risky/life threatening behaviour.
EPIC In Person Peer Parent Support
For parents & carers of young people aged 12-25
Are you, or someone you know, feeling stressed, isolated, confused as a result of supporting your young person?
EPIC In Person Peer Parent Support - What’s on offer?
EPIC In Person Peer Parent Support offers connection and support from a parent with lived experience of having a young person in crisis. The meetings offer a safe, anonymous and non judgmental space to talk, ask, cry, laugh.
EPIC Peer support workers have lived experience with teens in crisis and use their ability to put on their own oxygen mask on as an inspiration for others.
EPIC provides information, community connection and resources to parents and carers who are experiencing a stressful time with their teen.
EPIC is a proactive participant in the youth and family support sector in the Northern Sydney LGA. We collaborate closely with organisations such as The Northern Centre, KYDS, Taldumande Youth Services, Streetwork, Mission Australia, SDECC, Headspace, Youth Up Front, Burdekin Association, councils in the Northern Sydney LGA’s and schools, police and hospitals.
