EPIC Peer Parent Support
Parents Supporting Parents
Support by parents, for parents. EPIC is entering a new phase — simpler, lighter, and sustainable. While some things have changed, the heart of what we do stays the same: parents supporting parents with empathy, honesty, and lived experience.
We know how hard it can be to care for a young person going through mental health challenges, disengaging from school, or taking risks. You are not alone — EPIC is here to walk alongside you.
EPIC Peer Parent Support - Get involved, stay connected!

Gentle, informal meetups in local parks and open spaces. We BYO snacks and choose locations near shelter just in case it rains. Come as you are, connect, breathe, and chat with others who get it. Check out the upcoming walks here.
-
Relaxed, real conversations on a theme, sometimes with a guest speaker. Join from the comfort of your home. Cameras on or off, no pressure. Check out the upcoming meet ups here.

-
Stories, resources, and tools written by parents, for parents. Stay up to date, feel understood, and learn something new along the way. Sign up to join the EPIC Community and receive monthly updates here.
-
Free, confidential, empathetic phone and sms support from trained peer parent volunteers with lived experience of supporting a young person experiencing challenges.
EPIC is building our peer support base so if someone is not available to take your call immediately, one of our team will return your call as soon as possible.

Equips peer parent support workers/volunteers with the emotional insight, communication tools, and trauma-informed understanding to support other parents who are navigating the complex, often isolating experience of raising a young person in crisis. More here.
The purpose of EPIC Peer Support is to provide emotional support, community connection, strategies and share hindsight from our combined ‘well of wisdom’, in a safe, non judgemental environment.
EPIC peer support does not provide couselling or advice. If you need to talk with someone immediately, you can find services such as Lifeline, Kids Helpline, Parent Line, Emergency, Suicide Call Back Service here.
Parent Testimonial:
"Thank you so much for you commitment to providing safe spaces for parents and young people to learn more about the real struggles we face. Your support fills a gap in the community that makes a real impact. I benefit from it and I often refer your services and events to people I meet. The support you offer is needed (plus more!) and the value of these preventative kinds of programs you provide is priceless!"
